The Invasive Species Centre takes pride in our events which have convened national and international stakeholders on pressing topics in invasive species, reaching beyond traditional silos to bring together diverse and often non-conventional groups to engage in dialogue.

Invasive Species Social

Location: Vale Cavern (Science North), Sudbury, ON

Date: November 21, 2018 @ 6 pm - 9 pm

Please join us in the Vale Cavern (at Science North) for an Invasive Species Social, an educational event where you can learn about invasive species initiatives taking place in Ontario! 

This is a free event taking place from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., with a featured focus on the Early Detection & Rapid Response Network, and the Asian Carp Canada programs. 

We welcome members of the public to come and visit for an array of activities including:
Ontario Trillium Foundation Recognition Event at 6:30 PM
Asian Carp Info Session at 7:45 PM 
Partner booths; Networking opportunities; Free food; Cash bar & More!

International Conferences on Aquatic Invasive Species 

Location: Montreal, Quebec 

Date: October 27-31, 2019 

The International Conference on Aquatic Invasive Species (ICAIS) is the most comprehensive international forum to address new and emerging issues related to aquatic invasive species in freshwater, marine and estuarine environments. ICAIS provides an international platform for the presentation of aquatic invasive species research that pertains to species biology, risk assessment, prevention, management and control methods, ecological and ecosystem impacts and restoration, outreach and policy.
