The Port Franks Garden Club will host their annual Home and Garden Show on Saturday, May 18 at the Port Franks Community Centre. The event will be preceded by a presentation by Madison Sturba, Program Development Coordinator for the Invasive Species Centre from 9-10 am. She will be there to provide an informative session on dealing with oak wilt. This is a very real threat to our beautiful, forested dunes and oak savannah habitat but luckily one that we may be able to avoid with early detection and rapid response.

After the presentation, feel free to stay for the Garden Show from 10am-12pm

• Plant sale in the West Wing featuring native plants of Thedford
  Gwen’s Garden Produce and Sheila Rose Garden Wear by the tennis courts
• Lot of vendors with a variety of goods and services in the Main Hall
• Ausable Port Franks Optimist Club’s 50/50 Draw tickets will be for sale
