Invasive Species Awareness Week (ISAW) takes place annually, the last week of February. The goal of this week is to come together to increase awareness about the impacts of invasive species and how we can protect natural spaces.
Thank you to everyone who participated in ISAW 2026! Together, we’re raising awareness and protecting communities from the impacts of invasive species.
Your impact:
- Invasive Species Knowledge Quiz | 400 people tested their knowledge and learned more about invasive species!
- Forestry in the Classroom for grades 4-8 | 16 classrooms attended the event, helping to educate the next generation of environmental stewards!
- From Knowledge to Action Symposium | 70 attendees are ready to take action on invasive species!
- Social media posts | On ISC channels, content garnered 300,000 impressions and 3,400 engagements!
Together, our actions help raise awareness about the importance of preventing the spread of invasive species.
The Invasive Species Centre and our partners lead this annual campaign in Canada to help raise awareness about the threat that invasive species pose to our natural heritage. Each year, many organizations support Invasive Species Awareness Week to make it a huge success.
Thank you for taking part in Invasive Species Awareness Week and everything you do to protect the land and water from invasive species!
