Jane Kramer’s projects are created with a conceptual approach and are focused on environmental and social issues. Her ongoing project, Foreshadowing: Endangered and Threatened Plant Species, began upon selection into the Art from the Lakes program and with funding, in part, from Michigan Nature Association. For this project, Jane photographs the shadows of Michigan’s endangered and threatened plant species and transfers the images onto paper she makes from invasive plant species.

The Ontario Invasive Plants Conference has announced that the annual will occur virtually on January 18th, 2024. Please note, abstracts and proposals will be reviewed after submission and presenters who are invited to present will be contacted. National Horticulture Industry and Invasive Species Conference
The conference aims to connect the landscape and nursery industry, environmental organizations, indigenous communities, and governments to share key information and inform national and regional approaches to address invasive species impacting horticulture, and to protect Canada’s habitats and communities in the face of a changing climate.
