ISC Webinar: Plasticity drives extreme cold tolerance of emerald ash borer (Agrilus planipennis) during a polar vortex

May 25, 2022 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm

New research, ‘Plasticity drives extreme cold tolerance of emerald ash borer (Agrilus planipennis) during a polar vortex’, indicates emerald ash borer (EAB) can adapt to Canadian winters and can tolerate extremely cold winter temperatures (-50°C).

Chris MacQuarrie, Research Scientist at the Great Lakes Forestry Centre, and Meghan Duell, Postdoctoral Associate at the University of Western Ontario, will explain these recent findings and discuss EAB management.
