The Invasive Species Centre will be hosting a free come-and-go event in collaboration with Batchewana First Nation, Evolugen, and Parks Canada. Join us on August 24th to learn more about invasive species, how to identify, report, and prevent their spread. This event will feature various booths of expert speakers from Invasive Species Centre, Batchewana First Nation, Parks Canada and Algoma University. Spotted Lanternfly Information Workshop (September 21)

The focus of this workshop series is the spotted lanternfly, an invasive pest spreading in nearby U.S. states. Although not currently established in Canada, if spotted lanternfly were to establish, it could cause immense damage to Ontario grapevines, tender fruit orchards, hops, parks, and forests. Asian Longhorned Beetle Workshop
